That's right, we've finally updated yet again! This time, it was a small vanilla update to fix some annoying bugs related to LAN play and whatnot.
The unique thing about this is that it's actually a pre-release version. Bukkit went ahead and updated CraftBukkit early, so we get to play while Mojang will officially release it on Tuesday of next week. This version is compatible with Minecraft 1.4.4, so you DO NOT need to upgrade to a pre-release client, although it will fix some LAN related bug, but I don't think most of you play LAN very much.
