I'd suggest an odd number of members to prevent a deadlock when voting, but not too many people so it doesn't become an incoherent squabble. Maybe nine members on the council, plus one elected adjudicator who doesn't get to vote or input but ensures that there's a fair playing field, so to speak.

As for a nomination, I would like to put forward one for Guineaman, who I feel is an upstanding member of our community and is deserving of a position on the Council.

9 seems too many for a community of our size I suggest 5 would be able to come to quick and strong decisions without to much hassle. The problem with committees or 'councils' that get to big is it takes a lot longer to decide on things. I already sit on a committee for a society And things run a lot smoother when there are less people at the meetings.

Yeh, I have noticed that with all meetings, but too little and you don't get any good points for discussion, you need a good variety of viewpoints in order to work out what is best, so you don't want to few people, hmmm, we could just keep this going and see who we end up with?

I agree with Chris on the size.

I think we should have an active member from each rank representing their own rank. A User for Users, VIP for VIP, Super VIP for Super VIP, Goldy VIP for Goldy VIP. This would help to maximize representation.
