About 8 hours or so ago, the forums and the server were completely separated. What this also means is that if the webserver ever put any strain on the server, that is no longer a problem, as we are separate now.
Dynmap works like it always has, so there are no problems there.
Quite a few changes have been made. Not only have we upgraded our hardware for the server, but we also did this change in separating server from forum.
We also want to make enhancements to our various features in IDP. One of my goals for when I get back to development is to try to expose the chest shops to the database. We can then figure out a way of publicizing the shops so that they can be viewed from the forum.
On a different note, the shop system. I know it's been a very long time since the shop system was first assigned to me. The chest shops, that are part of IDP right now that I developed and released sometime in february or march actually was supposed to be released with the official shop system. That never happened.
The reason chest shops are here is because I wanted you guys to get a taste of what the shop system was like. A currency was created, and chest shops are already underway. The shop system still requires a lot more work before it is even ready. I'm still not sure how some things are going to go about. However, it is going to be something you guys are going to really enjoy.
Here is a hint: I plan to use a double chest interface with the system, so it is GUI related. It's going to be very easy to get to the items that you want to buy. However, like I said, I am still very unsure of how to go about things. This is going to be a very unique system, one that I have never seen in any other plugin.
It will consist of two parts: The Innectis shop, and the player buy/sell shop. Some might say that this would negate the need for chest shops. The chest shops don't need to be removed, they can act as a secondary system (if players end up using this more than the chest shops, that is).
Anyways, we are constantly improving your experience with IDP, and we will continue to do so.
Happy mining!
