while in the pixel world you could like right-click on a placed block and it would tell you who placed it, so you see a creation, you really like it, and you want to know who built it, you'd just right-click on the blocks to see who built it.

Staff can already do this when checking block logs, however the history is erased after an extended amount of times so that idp's memory doesn't get too high.

No, the history is stored in the database, so it doesn't impact memory. Unfortunately it has been wiped a few times on accident, mainly because the history doesn't get saved in backups. The data required would be absolutely crazy, and my space would fill up pretty fast if I took backups often.
