Title: Volters For Redstone Current!

An idea I had today was where people could pay volters to output a redstone current, this could be used where people are charging minecarts for use of farms, slot machines ect

What do you think?

or just put a sign shop selling minecarts for volters next to your minecart-powered device.

What I'd like to see is Notch implement an official coin for the game as an "unobtainable" admin-issued SMP item.  Then have a coin-slot block that looks similar to a dispenser, that when given a coin emits a brief redstone charge.  That would not only make the entire vending machine idea easier, it would eliminate the need for a plugin-based currency system by replacing it with a physical in-game currency.

Redstone hacks not such a good idea. If you want to charge for something, make a chest hand out the cart.
