Title: Spleef Flag Reset Commands
Post by: Sciamancer on January 29, 2012, 11:59:53 AM
So. For a lot with the spleef flag set, I suggest two commands be added: /spleefsave and /spleefload.

/spleefsave will save the block contents of the current spleef-flag-set lot.
/spleefload will reset the spleef-flag-lot to the last state that /spleefsave was used.

This will allow the easy resetting of any spleef arena, no matter the shape or size. It will also allow a Fort World type of thing, which had pretty much unanimous and great support as a suggestion.

Because the spleef flag is set, no blocks will drop, meaning that there is no way to duplicate blocks or otherwise abuse the feature.

Hmm now that's an idea. It might be awhile before it gets added though, we would need to come up with an efficient way to store and load the area.

Perhaps keep track of what lotids whose flag is spleef have a certain block.

There would need to be a way to keep track of which Y coords are designated as spleefing coords, so you could have spleef for 3 different floors for example (very easy way to make a multi-spleef arena).

Also, each lotid would have to have a block set for the spleef. Such a feature would render my redstone contraption useless, since it could be used for controlling spleef.

It would save the entire vertical range of the Spleef lot, since any block in it can be destroyed. Loading it back would "fix" unintended grief (eg at bottom/top)
