Title: Innectis and Minecraft 1.8 - Process Started
Post by: Vector on March 31, 2015, 05:57:42 PM: Well it's been awhile since there was any news about Innectis updating to Minecraft 1.8. Part of it is my fault. Losing motivation, bukkit dying, the whole DMCA with bukkit, quite a few different factors here. Also, in a previous news article I talked about a few things that prevented us from updating.

I talked about how Spigot had chosen to update Bukkit and CraftBukkit to 1.8, and that their patch system might not have worked with our features. That all changed after yesterday. I went ahead and downloaded one of their tools to prepare a CraftBukkit 1.8 server, and as it turns out, it gave me a source that I could work with. After learning how their tool worked, I then saw a new light to this whole process.

After learning that, I had to figure out how I could integrate it with the changes already made to our server .jar, and found a solution I think could make things easy on me.

So today I happily announce that the process to get us on to Minecraft 1.8 has started. I don't know when it'll be finished, but I'll be sure to let you guys know what's up.

All that said, I would like to apologize for something. This could have been done like 5 months ago, but I speculated it wouldn't work and didn't bother to test my speculation out. Either way, I am moving forward with this, and hopefully we can be on Minecraft 1.8 soon.
