Currently when someone joins the server, a message is displayed:

Quote

Player has joined the server.

Can we add a feature to the server that allows us to see when there's a new player that hasn't been seen before?

Quote

Player has joined the server for their first time.

Or something like that, it can even be on a new line.

This would be great! If we added this and the ability for newcomers to get a lot if admin or mod isnt on it would make the first time experience for new people so much better. Plus its nice for the active members to be able to identify new people and help them out

Type /getlot -.- It also works for VIP+, as long as you have 'nough lots available (3 for VIP, 5 for SVIP, etc.). The default size is 31x31 (lot area 1) or 32x32 (lot area 2). I wish it would allow for custom sizes for us ranked players, but unfortunately it doesn't that I know of.

That's my point. Why else would it tell us if there wasn't an ulterior reason?

If I see someone that I haven't seen before I type /played [USERNAME], and it will tell me how long they have been online...

But that's not user friendly -- instead of it just telling you, you have to find out yourself. It's a nice command if you actually wanna know how long they've been playing, but not if you just wanna get a yes/no if they're new.

Plus returning people who have not logged in since the /played   command was introduced will also have a play time of 0 even if they are not new. For example, kevinray has not gotten on since that update so his time would be 0 but we all know he is not new. Lets say someone who isnt well known returns. Theyre not new but Nos's system suggest they are.
