If all of the Innectis devs suddenly became Tekkit devs, Tekkit would be much more awesome than it is.

Take that in your pipe, and smoke it!

We don't need tekkit features to be awesome, is what I'm saying.

I'd rather see Innectis be as orginal as possible.

There is one missing btw.
If you craft a written book with an writeable book, you will get the written book 2 times. Making a copy of itself.

Not to be picky, but would it be possible to crop them and perhaps put them in a nice table?

Because you can obtain them with shears now.

You can obtain them by using a silk touch sheer or silk touch sword

This seems to happen a lot.. IDP adds something to make things possible and then Minecraft do something similar.. We have a spy? O.o

Here are a few examples:

Hmm.. Half doors become invisible now because of the new update.. Do we need to remove crafting them? :S

No because it makes doors stackable

Yeah, I see no problem with keeping it. They may render properly some day!

It could be useful for like making an invisible maze or wall of some sort.

They aren't invisible when placed, just in their inv slot.

Wrong way round.. They appear in your inventory slot and when placed are invisible. The issue being that the bottom half of doors don't render unless there is a top half now.

Please keep these, if placed correctly, these are very useful for keeping people out of areas that you wish to have them only able to see, without obstructing view using glass or ice of course.

Is the book one, an editable book with writing and a blank Written book? because I did that with a written book with writing in it and a blank editable book and I got two blank written books.

EDIT: I tried both, it eats up book and quills and gives you blank un-editable books. Anyone want some blank books?

Egg: Your images for the quartz block GIF are not all the same size. I notice this when they cycle between each other.

What recipes are missing?
Title: Re: Crafting Recipes
Post by: Vector on April 30, 2015, 01:15:11 AM
With the 1.8 update I added recipes to uncraft all the new doors (birch, spruce, jungle, acacia, dark oak). And they are all changed to a return value of 2 planks of the specified wood type instead of 6, because crafting the doors yields 3 doors instead of one.

oh yeah new wood doors and iron trapdoors

I didn't add an uncrafting recipe for iron trapdoors. Should I?

Edit: Scratch that, there isn't a recipe for wooden trapdoors. I don't need to add them, unless people think otherwise.

Probably should, but you should only get 3 planks/iron per trapdoor uncrafted since it costs 6 to make 2.

de-craftable armor.. for all the useless armor drops you get from mobs..

de-craftable armor.. for all the useless armor drops you get from mobs..

Would be too overpowered, people could decraft all of their almost dead armor, and make a fresh set, without it setting them back anyway.

that could work if a mostly damaged gold chestplate became just one gold ingot.

The problem with that is durability. How much is duration worth? Unless your uncrafting armor with full durability, I don't see this happening.
Title: Re: Crafting Recipes
Post by: RoyallyGrim on May 04, 2015, 05:17:40 PM
Okay. I'll set the stats.

Leather armor. Torso. ( Full durability ) 4 returned. ( Half durability) 2 returned. ( Nearly empty. ) 1.
Leather armor. Pants. ( Full durability ) 3 returned. ( Half ) 2 (Near empty) 1.
Leather helm. ( Full ) 2. ( Half ) 1. ( Near empty ) 1.
Leather boots. ( Full ). 2. (Half) 1. ( Near empty ) 1.

This is a good idea.. why? Because of the fact that it would be recyling and save space instead of throwing out useless crap that won't work, the leather you get back from leather armors could be used for books. Seriously, no one would use leather for anything else..unless you're playing like a.. football game with teams or something.. But yeah, theres the pattern for ya. And gold.. those don't have to return gold bars if possible, just return it in nuggets. * Shrug*

The problem with that is the amount of durability per item given back. Not only that, currently it's not possible to set crafting recipes based on durability. The way Minecraft works, their internal recipe registry doesn't even work based off durability. However, using the bukkit crafting event, it may be possible. However, there is a different reason I don't think this is worth it.

You see, let's take a leather torso for example: 4 leather returned for the torso. Figure out the range of durability for each leather returned... let's say a leather torso has 1000 durability. The first leather returned goes from 1 to 250 durability. That means 1 leather is good for an almost dead leather torso to 1/4th its total durability. That doesn't seem feasible to me. I don't know about anyone else, but they might have the same opinion.

The new doors, they give back oak planks when you craft them back, so you may need to fix that...
I guess that's what happens when you copy/paste code for recipes and don't check everything... will fix that when I get to it as well as adding uncrafting recipes for wooden/iron trapdoors.

Egg, hold off on updating this until the next IDP update, so that I can fix the recipe results and add the new crafting recipes.

Now that we've updated, looks like this needs updating. Iron doors btw, only give 2 iron per door instead of the 6 shown here.
