Title: Rotating portals?

Would it be possible to have portals that are flat and not standing up? So kinda like an end-portal frame, but a nether portal? The floor of it could be obsidian too if that would make it work too?

Would it also be possible for goldies to make portals whatever size they want?

The portals don't lay. They're vertical alone. I haven't ever seen a laying down portal block.

Non-admins can't spawn portal blocks, so that's not possible.

Maybe make it possible with end portals to act like Nether portals do? Unlike nether portals where there is the wait, the end portal would be instant. This would make some interesting contraptions!

This was just one of those moments when you think of something that may be cool and must suggest it before you forget your idea. :)
