Title: Gold armor revert?
Post by: SGT_ADZ on June 26, 2012, 03:47:25 PM
Could we get it so that if you are wearing a set of full gold armor, so it lets you breath underwater like it did before it got removed, because its a pain for people who are underwater getting eg: clay, ink sacs, etc   and while underwater the armor could even take damage too? Because then it isn't say, advantage giving, lemme know :)

Edit: I know hret coded this before, so I would like your feedback sir Hret! It wouldnt take much extra coding because most of the coding is already finished, all you would need to add is the damage to the armor

I'd love this but I would hate having to get more armor after it breaks due to it being rather weak. Perhaps if the helmet was enchanted with a certain enchantment it would slow down the process of breaking.

There is an enchantment that increases the amount of time you can be underwater. Respiration helps a bit. However, you still aren't able to stay under water very long.

I actually like this idea. We did have it before, but I never took advantage of it. :(

I have used this enchantment before, It isn't good at all, it extends it by maybe 2 seconds per bubble, if that

We could change it to iron armor....

Or, we could keep it at gold, and people could be happy with gold armor doing ANYTHING extra.

I agree with Skye. It should stay with gold only. This feature is a bit powerful and should be limited to items that have lower durability.

I want it to stay gold too, but if people are complaining about the durability of the gold armor, then maybe add a tiny speed boost when running to it aswell, that way people would want to use it more...

I just think people should complain less, and be grateful for the things their getting...

I remember the Gills thing, it also caused damage when touching water below Y level 5, which was odd :S
But I did find it useful when doing things under water! I would like to see it back!

This might be helpful on the underwater dome that we are working on now. However, a sponge might be more helpful. What if you place a sponge on your head you would be able to breathe under water due to it being a rare block and all.
