Title: Command Sign
Post by: Nosliw on June 12, 2012, 09:58:46 AM
Just popped into my head, but would it not be good to have signs that upon right click preform a command? Such as:

[command]
/gtl Alpha 1

rather than something like:

Hi, type:
/gtl Alpha 1

It would be much easier and have many uses ^^

I remember back when hMod was around, there was a plugin which does exactly this, but in a different format:
[AllDo]
/i 57 64
But for doing commands such as that, it would require an admin to do it. Just sayin'

It'd require heavy restrictions. I don't see the practicality in doing this. What about others?

Could you not just run it as if they were sending the command so all normal restrictions would apply?

How about /getlot sign at the end of the tutorial? or for commands that people use often? donations signs? Its just a convenience sort of thing, to make it easier for people.

Wouldn't this make waypoints completely useless.

what if there was signs to a certain location eg: If used in the mall, there could be a wall of signs and each sign takes you individually to ones shop, instead of having to hunt for it or the warp

1+ I actually quite like this and We could have a room with lot's of the signs around the place if people didn't completely understand the font. If this and my idea goes ahead I would really like to help with making this room with signs. :D

No, because you would need to make a waypoint in the first place, this couldn't make one for you.
