24 hours of downtime due to SOPA protests
« on: January 18, 2012, 01:37:14 AM »
We are going to take the forums offline for a period of 24 hours starting January 18, 2012 from 12:00 AM to January 19, 2012 12:00 AM PST as an act of protest of the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA). This is to show our support for freedom of information on the internet.

This does not mean that we support illegal transactions of files, but this bill could put a tighter grip on the kinds of information that can be passed around on the internet.

When the time reaches 12:00 AM, this site will go into maintenance mode, and will be inaccessible to regular users until the specified time period. I hope this won't inconvenience anyone.

Although I haven't formally stood up against SOPA and PIPA with any organization, I support the move you guys made. Props to the Innectis Staff for standing up against online totalitarianism!
