Just thought of this too. Lightning as a potential threat. But there cannot be rain since it seems to be killing the endermen. Also lightning + creeper = super charged creepers!!!
An underground crypt would be cool too. Obviously it would be like a real crypt, full of skeletons, slimes, and zombies. A possible entrance could be a cavern inside a subway or mining system.

This would be an intense idea, with the subway/cavern concept and everything. Do you think it'd be worth banding a bunch of Innectians together to build an entire world with caverns, castles, cities, crypts, temples, spawners etc. ? If it goes ahead, it'd be up to Hretsam's discretion who does and doesn't participate in the bulding and/or the actual event, of course.

Eggnaug:
Building the world would be fun, but to speed up the process it would have to be in a creative map. I have a list of names I would trust to build (not saying who, want to avoid insult). I am currently searching for a pre-made map of some sort so we wouldnt have to build. Not entirely sure how well this idea will go. It will only succeed if everyone cooperates.
