So I was thinking and I came up with a cool shop system idea.

Instead of using vT along side chest shops, why not make it so that you sell items for items instead. You would put the item being sold into a chest (using chest shop system) and when a player trades an item for it, the sold item replaces that item in the chest.

Example:

There is a chest with a sign that says 10 coal for 20 logs. You'd right click the sign and 10 coal would leave your inventory, be placed in the chest filled with logs, and 20 logs would come out of the chest and into your inventory.

I think this would help reduce inflation/deflation issues

I have used this on another server. I do not like it at all. If it was a lot easier to use then I wouldn't mind. Can't Alpha and the coders just work over time on the shop we've got now.
