ryanteck:
Erm, Beau again your wrong... Forums Like SMF Or PHPbb Are MORE Secure... Why? There open source, which means anyone can find bugs and report them. Its why linux is more secure...
I also do prefer one of the other forums over this as they are more cutsomisable to innectis..

And tbh i have found most of the changes you have done have erm , Failed. I hate to say this but i dont think you should be the "Webmin" (Sorry no offence, but i dont think you should for many reasons...)

Caaaaarrrrlll:
Couldn't have said it better myself.

For SMF/phpBB:

A) They're open-source, aka free.
B) They're highly customizable. However, SMF allows you to upload mods directly, phpBB is manually (there are mods that can make it auto, however).
C) They have styles that can make it look just as professional as any other forum software.
D) phpBB boasts a highly configurable permissions system, even styles/themes themselves have permissions. If you call this insecure, you're crazy.

vBulletin:

A) You have to pay for a license, aka not-free & closed-source.
B) It may be customizable, I haven't really used it to know enough if it is or isn't. (I used a cracked version, couldn't get a hang of the admin panel so I let it go)
C) I didn't like a lot of the styles they had for vBulletin...
D) Optimization issues.

:\

Beau_Barbera:
Ok Fair call from you both, I prefer Vbulletin. And Ryan, My updates haven't even hit the fan yet. I am still waiting for FTP so I can start my real updates. So please wait before you even start to judge me.

Beau_Barbera:
Edit: All planned updates will be all done during scheduled maintenance. This makes it easier so no users run into bugs while fixing it all up.

Lynxy:
A friend of mine that does a lot of forum work, so he knows the ups and downs of all the popular forums. He recommends XenForo. He thinks the framework on it is amazing. IPB is his second choice. Just some options
