Website Contributions and Support / Redesign
« on: February 15, 2011, 07:09:04 PM »
Well, looks like it will need to be done.

I will start to decide what to import, and what not to, and add a new interesting skin to the forum, not sure what that will be.

Edit: OMG, I just figured that there was a "permission error" with black crystals, so it didn't show up for anyone but administrators.... Well, now it's viewable by all.

Another edit: John and I were talking, and it may be more of a pain than you think http://codespeak.org/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sleep.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='-_-' /> I will still consult this though.

Tech Support / cname?
« on: February 10, 2011, 04:53:55 AM »
Not at all.

He was IMing me on MSN trying to get this set up. What was weird is we were unable to make a CNAME to my sub-domain for his site, which is entirely weird....

I'm able to make CNAMEs perfectly fine on Name Cheap (without the need to park or anything).

Unfortunately, Denial's hosting doesn't allow me to either park or make add-on domains.

General Discussion / FaceBook's rise to fame
« on: February 08, 2011, 04:15:50 AM »
It was only created in 2004, and already, 7 years later, it comes with a host of integration solution for various forums/serices. The "Like" feature is integrated into so many websites, and it is even being used for some schools, I'll bet.

So, what do you think of the proliferation of FaceBook?

An IRC will be in the works, sooner or later.

I'll make another board which will redirect to the old forum.

By the way, Denial enabled the GD libraries with PHP.

Information / What exactly is Code Speak?
« on: January 27, 2011, 04:24:52 AM »
Code Speak is a programming community that I started on Nov. 5, 2009. Its purpose is to bring knowledge, as well as to provide a service to those who would like it. There are a number of people in this community interested in Battle.Net bot development, as well as other programming venues.

We also have a tech support section, so if you have a problem with a piece of software or hardware, you may get an answer to your problem in the appropriate section.

Above all, we hope you enjoy it here.

If the above image doesn't show, I'll have to look into this sometime later.

With this new forum comes a new layout, and hopefully more categories to choose from. With the addition of this forum upgrade, we will hope to continue to bring more and more people to this site.

As requested from James, I archived the forums from our last version of IPB (3.1.1) found here: http://archive.codespeak.org
