Title: SNES

Owns, no matter what anyone else says. Super Metroid ftw. Fastest Speedrun know for the game took 10 minutes or less to beat. My fastest time w/ all items if 34 minutes, fastest w/o is 15 min.

Rofl... I still got my Ancient SNES from when it first came out. Sadly, the video cable is broke beyond current repair. *Sigh* But that's what emulators are for!

BTW, by copyright law you are allowed two additional copies:
One for archival purposes; One for personal use AS LONG AS YOU HAVE THE ORIGINAL! So I fall into that part of the copyright law xD

Ahh, the old 32-bit machines. Brings back some memories, although I never had an SNES myself. I've played it repeatedly. The games I especially remember were those I played way back when with my best friend: Street Fighter Zero, Street Fighter Alpha 2. Those were awesome games.

Mortal Combat is another cool game. As you can tell, I like fighting games.

The very addictive crappy graphics and non-stop fake blood. Got to love it.

At the time, I would have said, "Hell yeah, those are damn fine graphics." Now I look at today's technology and I laugh in the face of what was. We have come along ways from graphics in the olden days. With Vector-graphic technology, the images became a lot smoother (back in the '80s). But you can't help but look back at all those days and think "those were the good ol' days."

I love retro! I love to play those extremely old games, because I really like to know what the graphics / gameplay was like back then. Its funny to know that the plot for most of the games was not really thought out due to the lack of ability of the consoles at the time. I'm pretty sure this is why the plot was always lacking.

When the game systems upgraded, and better and better graphics became available, with more powerful processors to run the consoles, then the gaming companies of the day were able to think broader and broader in terms of roleplay. This I like.

I just auctioned off a SNES for around 500. The games got to about 200 each. A controller got 50. All ended about a month ago. Go figure old technology would be so expensive.

How in the world...?

Why would they go for so much? Antiques do go for a lot of money though.
