You see that little "Disconnect" button on the client. Well, it doesnt work. You have to goto Client--Disconnect to disconnect from the VN Server.
-
This issue has been fixed already. I'm hammering out bugs everytime I see them.
-
I have marked this topic as resolved.
If you have any questions or if your problem continues, please reply and provide as much information as possible.
-
Has the new client been released then? If not, then no, it is not resolved.
-
The latest compile (http://rev77.net/VNClient.exe) does not have problems with the "Disconnect" button. I just checked.
-
I just checked.... I have the latest....

Mozilla firefox caches each download, so if you downloaded another updated version from the same link, firefox will use the CACHED copy instead... Tools -> Clear Private Data usually works.

No, it does not cache the download, or at least it is not supposed too. If it does, it is the USER's settings, not FireFox itself.
-
Well, users who I've known that have download my updated copies have gotten the originals instead.
-
As I stated, USER [DEFINED] SETTINGS. I just changed mine so that wouldnt happen anymore.

It is supposed to...It's Vectors problem -- your not supposed to use the same file name for different versions. The version number should be somewhere in the file name.
And, cacheing the download is good -- I don't know why you wouldn't want it...
-
If I am not mistaken, the cache is a buffer of sorts. Vector, I actually agree with RiffRuff. I think that you should start using VNclient 0.6.0 and such as file names. This way it prevents it (in theory) from happening again.
-
I will do this.
-
Is there anyway you or someone else can make a html/php code so I can redirect the link to the latest version posted on the site? IE Determines VNClient0.6.0 is an earlier release then VNClient0.6.1 which is earlier then VNClient0.7.0 Is this at all possible so I can post it on my downloads page for various things?
-
I'm not sure whether there is a convenient way to do this. Just have it redirect to a folder, that I will make on the server.
Make it Vector.no-ip.info/VectorNet, which is currently a redirect to the site, until i can get my web server up. Once that is accomplished, then you don't need to make any changes, as its already pointing at my web server once it comes up.
-
I dont like pointing to redirects. I just want it pointing to the file they will be downloading......

Live with it.... unless hero helps you, you are at a loss.
