I am also looking for a Laptop that is under $350, yes i am cheap, but all i need it to do is run bot's.

I will not be playing wc3 game on it, just bot and school work.

I think the only laptops you can find for under $350 are EeePC's. These things are tiny. I could probably fit it in my pocket. They usually have very small hard drives (mine's 2 gigs) and run Linux. (Although you can upgrade to Windows XP if your HD is big enough.)

If you'd spend like 400$ you'd allready get some kind of shuttlelaptop that's as small as maybe half of your monitor width.. coming along with full features and about 1to2 gig ram. Perfect for work.

Well that's still better then what I am getting into...... well, my laptop is around One Thousand with 2 year warranty. So yeah, I kinda got out cheap because I new the guy who was "selling" me it. He gave me a 30% discount. Laptop has Wireless and ethernet connections; gig half ram; 500 gig hard drive; Vid card equivalent of a Geforce 7000 Series... (not quite sure exactly what one, but I believe it was a 7200) and it still lags on me  PS: Mine is for gaming and such.

De80: I would recommend a cheap laptop because they are great for bots.... but if your running (or going to) a STW script, then I suggest you spend at least 600 to 700 (Uh thats the last time I priced them, which was in MI) on a decent one.

I've never had any problems running it on one of my computers that probably isn't even worth $50...

Its got a 300 mhz processor (Pentium 2) and 512 mb RAM.  It is running Windows 2000 Advanced Server.  I don't think you'll find a $300 laptop much slower than this computer...I love the video card on it -- 1.5MB on it

Well, STW would work optimally at 5KB/S or so. It doesn't even need that fast a conection. Hell, you can run dial-up, and still be fine with it!

Nah -- 1.5MB video card...I had to put in a PCI video card -- the one built into the motherboard was 1MB, and that wasn't enough...

Anyways, point is, STW doesn't have high requirements -- I don't know where he's getting the figures from.  All it does is visit a website the same as a person would (although it basically presses "refresh" a few more times)

Buy a really cheap VPS, you can do school work just install word, and still run bots off of it. You can even connect from anywhere making it virtually mobile. lol.
